Choose you this day whom you will serve.

Updated: Aug 4, 2021

There are only two choices. Worldly or Heavenly.

But you say, “That seems like such a narrow view.” ...It is.

Matthew 7:14 “Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.

Proverbs 2:1-5 My son, if you will receive my words and treasure my commandments within you, make your ear attentive to wisdom, incline your heart to understanding; for if you cry for discernment, lift your voice for understanding; if you seek her as silver and search for her as for hidden treasures; then you will discern the fear of the LORD and discover the knowledge of God.

God tells us that if we seek Him that we will be found of Him and if we put our trust in Him that we will spend all of eternity with Him. We can thank JESUS for that. He died that we would have life.

...Not only that, but that through Him we would have access to God the Father.

...Not only that, but that the Holy Spirit would indwell the believer and lead us into all truth.

When we accept God’s Plan of Salvation we are able to live in the power of the Spirit. What does that actually mean? We no longer live with a 'worldly' mindset after the flesh but are renewed in the spirit of our mind after things of the spirit. We have a 'new' nature after the spirit of Christ. We are no longer ‘of’ the world system but are born again by the Spirit so that we may pursue God's purpose for our life.

Romans 12: 1-2 “I appeal to you therefore, brothers, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship. Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what I s good and acceptable and perfect.

Colossians 2:21-22 Once you were alienated from God and were hostile in your minds because of your evil deeds. But now He has reconciled you by Christ's physical body through death to present you holy, unblemished, and blameless in His presence.

There is a price to pay to be a follower of Jesus. But there is also great reward.

The price is that you exchange your life for His and live in light of the Gospel. We surrender our life to God and learn to follow Jesus in the way that He taught us to live. Jesus demonstrated God's love and showed us how to live. He left for us an example to follow Him so that we in turn would be able to point others to Jesus so they too could inherit this wonderful gift of salvation. This gift from God will allow us entrance into the Kingdom of God as our eternal home.

Romans 5:8 “But God shows His love for us that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.”

Satan has paved the highway to hell with fleshly temptations, worldly attractions, and moral compromises. Most people allow their fleshly desires, opinions, and temper to dictate the course of their lives. When they live out of the 'sin' nature they choose the temporary and earthly pleasures over the sacrifice of submitting their passions and desires to live out of the 'new nature' that is found in Christ. We can see these demonstrations in the streets of America rioting, cursing, and harming others. This is hellish behavior and does not honor God. They have created their own religion, cults and designed after their own fleshly desires and passions. God has a way that is right and will deliver us from evil!

Proverbs 14:12 "There is a way that seems right to a man, but its end is the way of death.

James 3:16-18 “For where jealousy and selfish ambition exists, there will be disorder and every evil practice. But the wisdom from above is first of all pure, then peaceable, gentle, accommodating, full of mercy and good fruit, impartial and sincere. Peacemakers who sow in peace reap the fruit of righteousness.

Choose you this day who you will serve. One leads to life, the other to eternal separation from God.

2 Corinthians 7:17-18 "Therefore come out from among them and be separate, says the LORD. Touch no unclean thing, and I will receive you and I will be a Father to you, and you will be My sons and daughters, says the LORD Almighty."
